SSC CGL 2021-22- Exam Pattern & Important Dates

SSC CGL examination is one of the prestigious examinations conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to fill up various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in different Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations.

The full form of SSC is Staff Selection Commission. It conducts Combined Graduate Level Exam(CGL) Exam for recruitment to various subordinate services. Lakhs of candidates across the country attempt this examination every year to attain the above mentions positions in various Govt. Departments.

Exam Pattern & Dates for UPSC CSE 2022

This exam is conducted in four stages. They are Tier-1, Tier-2, Tier-3 and Tier-4.

Tier-I & Tier-II exams will be conducted online, Tier-III will be a pen and paper based exam and Tier-IV will be a computer skill test. The exam pattern and important dates and SSC CGL 2021-22 examination are given below

Tier-I Exam Pattern

Tier-1 of the exam comprises four sections with about 100 questions and each question carries 2 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.5 Marks for each wrong answer. The entire exam is needed to be completed within 60 minutes.

Tier-2 Exam Pattern

After getting qualified in Tier 1, candidates will be eligible for Tier 2. SSC CGL Tier 2 comprises Four papers of 500 MCQs and each paper is to be completed in 2 hours. 1/4th of the marks allotted to the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Tier-3 Exam Pattern

After getting qualified in Tier 2, candidates will be eligible for Tier 3. SSC CGL Tier 3  is a descriptive test. It will be conducted for 100 marks in English/Hindi. The maximum time allotted to the exam is 1 hour.

Tier-4 Exam Pattern

Tier 4 is qualifying in nature. It is a computer skill test that is conducted in two steps:

  • Data Entry Speed Test (DEST)
  • CPT Test (Computer proficiency test)

Important Dates of SSC CGL 2021-22

SSC CGL 2021-22 notification is was released on 23rd December 2022. The last date to submit the applications is on 23rd January 2022. Candidates interested and eligible to apply for the examination should apply before 11:30 PM(23:30) on 23rd January 2022. Some Important dates of SSC CGL examination are given below
